Sounds sort of like don Juan/ Carlos Castenada
This book was written in the 70's I think. It is about a traveler who meets an old man at an old run down gas station, who shows the traveler that 'reality' is not real. They fly in a plane with no gas, fly through 'solid' objects, sink into the 'hard' ground like it is water...... then the old man sends the traveler on his way to look at life differently, and as the traveler walks away, he turns around and to find that nothing is there, the gas station and old man are gone. Anybody have any ideas; I've wracked my poor brain for weeks trying to remember the title or the authors name; and I'm lost and confused.... lol. Thanks!Peace, Bernie in Texas
