Well, it is my understanding that even if you don't owe a single penny, you must file. There are, as I understand, funds for those who file but don't owe..... some kind of rebates, or whatever they're called (bookkeepers, step in).
And..... if you don't file at all, dem dang revenooers will be a'comin' after ya. For sure. He said (and my tax papers I get yearly say) they are medical non taxable. I hope yours will be as mine. Oh another thing..... that no one told me when I started getting SS ck - (I found out on my own AFTER 3 years) Your taxes on your home (if you own ) will be considerably lower since you are disabled- BUT you have to go to courthouse and get it changed. I was barely paying for mine -went down more then half!!!!! You'll need to go to www.irs.gov and search for 1040 instructions. You might hafta file a Schedule M, whether you owe or not.
