re baclofen pump; i too inquired about the pump . my neuro recommended not to
have it for two reasons 1) very susceptible to infection and 2) can damage the
liver. instead am taking 30 mg in pill form

Subject: [TMIC] Baclofen Question

Do any of you have the Baclofen pump?  If
so, does it help?  How does it work?  The neurologist is talking about my
husband using this method of taking Baclofen because the spasticity in his legs
is preventing him from being able to stand and is interfering with his physical
therapy.  Your input is appreciated.

I do not use the pump, but sure rely on Baclofen to calm the
spasms in my legs.     You will get more input.

I have not used the baclofen pump, but a good friend of mine,
who is paralyzed from the waist down from a car accident, used one and it was
without problems.
Seemed to work instantly when her legs would jump.

I take 3-4 baclofen every day to keep my legs in control.

best of luck.

I've had a pump for 11 years. I'm on my second.

It works very well; when the reservoir is low my legs start yanking during the
day.

I also take 16 mg of tizanidine PRN at bedtime if I'm twitching, maybe twice a
week.

Do a Google search for "intrathecal pump".
