*crawls out of a hole*

Hi, everyone,
Wanted to blab for a bit if that's okay.  First is some changes (finally) from taking down all that Halloween decor at my web site.  This is becoming a theme for me to be putting up holiday-related images but hey, I enjoy doing it.  I created a new drawing for Thanksgiving and placed it on my homepage called "The Turkey Cutter."  Rarely do I laugh at my own work but this one actually made me chuckle.  I hope people find it amusing.  Also, I put up other additions such as an Avatar Archive of other dolls I've made, including characters from Final Fantasy 6.  Oh, and the Fan Art Links Page is updated with more artist names and a separate chart for the action figure repaints.  I was able to vote for two in that category, sending in a complete ballot to Amandatello!  I'm quite pleased with myself.  :)

Here's my link just incase someone forgot it:

Lastly, I'm still working on "The Sacred Moonstone" fanfic and have finally put up chapter 5 if anyone is interested in reading it.  Please, give me some feedback if you've got something nice or evil to say!

Oh, I looked to Joanna's question through that whole 'pushing the envelope' thread.  Why do we write TMNT fanfic?  For me, my answer is simple: because it's fun.  The very first fic I discovered was GW's "Lia's Story" and I thought to myself, "If she can write wonderful stories, maybe I can too!"  Hence came my first sad attempt with "A Jewel in the Sewers."  Hey, I tried, what can I say?  :D  Seriously, it's a total thrill to put the heroes I admire into a world I created and then make up all new adventures for them.  The guys are so colorful with several emotions, one can't help but even make a very quick poem or short story starring them.  I've been a victim of short stuff myself.  ;)

Also, the reason for writing is for other people's escape from the outside world.  Sean's fic, "Legacy of the Ring" did just that to me.  It first grabbed me when he made the guys tall (*drooools*) and then the storytelling alone made me more interested to read on.  I admitted to him I knew very little about Sonic's world or the Justice League people but because the plot was so interesting, I looked beyond of who was in it and focused on what was happening to them.  I hope this little plug will convince him to finish writing but you can't rush brilliance.  ;)  As for Tokka making the Fan Fic Award awards, I'm in no rush for mine.  I'm glad I won something but since there's so many awards to give out, I can wait my turn.  I got GW's email about that and responded to her.  Um....I hope she got it?

Um, so back to what I was saying about fanfics.  Yes, I say it's fun to write TMNT fiction, but really, it is a tough question to answer.  Why the TMNT of all things?  Well, my sister and I are huge Phantom of the Opera fans and she wrote endless stories and poetry while I provided artwork for her.  I guess if you truly love something, you will do things like writing and drawing for it.  I've penciled hundreds of Phantom pictures and now have the same amount in TMNT.  I'll probably continue to write and draw for as long as I can.

Okay, one more thing that's off-topic.  This is going to be a shock to the system, but I start a new job this Monday.  I'll be working at the Vons grocery store as a courtesy clerk.  I'm really nervous but my family is extremely happy.  Heh, Mom screamed as loud as when I passed my road test at the DMV!  At least this time we were in a closed vehicle so that no one could hear her.  I have a feeling where I'll be on Thanksgiving but hey, it's expected when working at a grocery store.  Oh, well.  I'll be making money and that's what counts.  ;)

Now, before I put anyone to sleep, I'm stopping here.  Bye!
