This looks fine, but thinking about it now I wonder if it might not be
better to finally modify resize-pane so you can specify an absolute
size.

Then you could achieve the same effect by doing:

bind L selectl main-vertical\; resizep -t :.1 -A 80

This may be considerably less trivial though...
