Hi all,
I was trying out tmux today at work, and I was trying to see if it's
possible to connect to two different windows in the same session using two
different clients. I looked through the manual, but if it's there, I
missed it.
Anytime I change windows from one xterm, the other xterm changes to the
same window.
The reason why I'm trying this is that I have two monitors, and I would
like to have one xterm in each monitor connect to a shared session. This
way, when I go home (where I only have one monitor), I have access to all
of the same windows.
I know that a workaround would be to have two different sessions, but then
from home I would have to know which screen a window that I want is
connected to, and connect to the correct one. I'd also have to constantly
switch sessions, if the two windows I was using were on different sessions.
