Ahh I just started up the mocha emulator to see what it did. I got it now for the backspace key. Humm not sure I actually like the functionality really but now understand what you are asking.
Here is what I see. It does do a destructive delete and leaves the last non blank character character of the field in the first position of the field before go to the previous field. If the field is just one character it leaves it as is following the rule above. Humm not sure I like that at all. Any hints or suggestions out there?
