Hi, I've installed tntnet 1.6.3 from the debian repository
using the debian pkg manager. I also installed the demos.
Some demos seem already to be compiled (for example demos/hello),
but many are not compiled (for example demos/calc);
but nevertheless all of the demos seem to run fine.
Is that ok? When is a compilation neccessary?

And: I didn't find any of the compile tools (ecppc, ecppl etc.,
not even tntnet-config) mentioned in tntnet.pdf (sect. 2/3).
So, is the pdf-doc maybe out-of-date, or is the compilation now
maybe done "on the fly" by the tntserver? Or is there maybe a
further component that I need to install?

These are the installed components:
# dpkg -l | grep -i tnt
ii  libtntnet8       1.6.3-4   Tntnet libraries
ii tntnet 1.6.3-4 modular, multithreaded web application server
for C++
ii tntnet-demos 1.6.3-4 demo web applications for Tntnet
ii tntnet-doc 1.6.3-4 documentation for Tntnet
ii tntnet-runtime 1.6.3-4 Tntnet runtime system
