Hi, just want to mention that three of the four desired features (Tag-Cloud, newer news on top and Atom feeds) are available in my tntnet based vaBlo CMS. Free-text search is not build into the frontend as it would go directly to the database (or an external seach index which the framework currently not supports) but the infrastructure would allow it if you like to live with the performance penalties.
