vaBlo is at the moment completely SQL based, i don't think it make sense to stuff the markdown into sql as they are maintained as files anyway. It could be an option to leave howtos/documentation as markdown and put only the metadata and other content (news, etc) into the database, it wouldn't even be difficult to implement, the framework behind vaBlo is modular, it would just require an additional module that generates the html content from markdown instead of reading it from the database. however, i'm not going to impose a switch to vaBlo on tommi, we just have a new site and i'm fine with it.
