I would like to know how do I configure the toaster or qmail to do pop before smtp. Because my server is flodding the network its connecting to with tons of e-mails going out that are not from my server… it looks as if someone is sending spam through it. Please help.
Assuming you used this toaster to install qmail and vpopmail (otherwise, why post to this list?) your system *already* utilized pop before smtp (--enable-roaming-users=y), and the machine by default is not an open relay. So, either one of your users is initiating the traffic, or perhaps one of the accounts has been used by a third party. Either way, you should check the logs to see which IP address is sending the traffic in the first place, then block it. Also, if you run a web server on this machine, it could be a CGI program injecting mail into the queue as well.
