Hi Bill,
simscan segfaults when you call it from the command line (for me on
Sarge, anyway). It probably shouldn't. But it does work fine when
called properly from qmail-smtpd. Does it not for you?
Thank you for the tip.
I haven't even tested this so far. I found the instruction on how to test
simscan on their wiki:
http://www.qmailwiki.org/SimScanTips
"The easiest way to debug Simscan is on the command line. Run it like this:
QMAILQUEUE=/path/to/simscan SIMSCAN_DEBUG=2 qmail-inject
[EMAIL PROTECTED] < a-mail.txt
in fact, I'd recommend testing simscan like this before enabling it on smtp
level. It's way easier (and safer ;) ) to debug it this way first."
So I hung on to that and didn't even think about testing anything else.
I will do so now and post my results. After that I will inform Inter7.
