That is correct. Like Ken pointed out, simscan is not meant to be run
from the command line, which doesn't mean it should segfault, maybe the
guys at inter7 will fix that behaviour which can cause some fears.

Either way, that happens when in fact you call it from the command line
WITHOUT setting the appropriate env vars, which are, or should be,
properly set when issued by qmail.

You can try this way:


export TCPREMOTEIP=1.2.3.4 TCPREMOTEPORT=1234 TCPLOCALIP=4.3.2.1
TCPLOCALPORT=4321 NOP0FCHECK=1 ; /var/qmail/bin/simscan
