Hello Friends, I just waited for Jairam or Srinivas to update the group. I spoke with Jairam and also Anil reg. their visit. Also sent a brief update mail to the group.
Yesterday evening I discussed with Dr. Sundar Raj. He said he and his friends can arrange for the checkup and the medicines. As said earlier, PG students are supposed to do a research on any disease and for that they need to check 30 patients having that disease. Initial check-up and basic medicines are not a problem. If anything is serious and require specialist help, then we need to forward this to other groups as well and try to get financial help. Again, we are not going to provide complete help with respect to major operations. Regarding taking responsibility and feasibility, this is open for discussion. Hyderabad members are requested to share their opinion. Members in other areas also can give their suggestions/views. First and foremost question being....... Anyone have any objection over providing education support to them? Thank you. --- In [email protected], srinu vas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Forwarding on behalf of Jairam: Hai all, > > Anil,Srinivas and myself went to anikepally on saturday..it is nearer to chilukur..we stayed there for nearly 1 1/2 hr.we went there primarly to update the contact details of the children identified previously. on the day we went Our main contact person in that village 'balamma' is not there. we contacted a boy who is studying 9th class and identified some children. he only went and called them. In few minutes nearly 15 members gathered. We have updated their addresses and also the family situation. > we gave priority to orphan and semi-orphan children. Some are studying in govt school -anikepally and some in near by English medium school (Good shepherd).their will be no fee for the children in the govt school, and they will also get text books freely..So if we can provide note books it is enough..Most of the children are studying in govt school only.. > The plight of some children is really miserable..we met one family with four daughters..these children came with their grand mother..Their mother is suffering from some disease and their father is a coolie.. > The elder child is studying 9th class but she is looking as if she is studying some 3rd class.she is also suffering from some disease.Their grandmother requested us for help..really their situation is worse. > After that a person came with his son who is mentally retarded. He also asked for help. But we said that we are giving priority to education support only. > they are in need of medical support also. > > No doubt they are really in need for help but The major thing what we have to consider is our feasibility in helping them..This we have to discuss in our monthly meetings...ie how we are going to help them...and prioritize the action plan..getting the support from villagers is also important..so we should discuss and move into action as soon as possible so that they believe in our activities. > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo!
