Discussion on new medical cases:
Now whats this? What has to be discussed? Chaitanya had written and few
others replied few days back that there could not be any pre-fixed guidelines
for taking up medical cases. In this country, medical cases are plenty,
especially with CHD (Congenital Heart Disease). And most of them are BPL. Very
few of them get noticed by the media and then we get to know about them. There
are many who do not get the opportunity to reach the media and after fighting
with the disease and death till they can, they give up and collapse.
Unfortunately nothing much have been done by the government. Only few cases
who can reach govt. through White Ration Cards, get some financial assistance.
Recently the Govt. has introduced a scheme called AROGYA SREE where the
patient will be seen and refered by some govt doctor to a recognised corporate
hospital and the hospital will undertake the surgery. In this case, the patient
need to have a White Card and a referral from some govt doctor stating that he
needs a surgery. Then he need not spend a single rupee and the corporate
hospital will do the surgery and will claim the amount from an insurance
company which is tied-up with AROGYA SREE project.Thing is that the money is
very less and many hospitals may not do it for they cannot charge a single
paisa more than the offered price by the government. Anyway, Mediciti hospitals
has opted to undertakse such cases and hence if you come across any patient
requiring heart surgery, please see if they can produce a white card and can be
referred by a govt, doctor for such surgery. (Later if required, I can give a
list of the surgeries covered under this project).
The best thing is that the patient need not pay a single paisa from admission
to discharge. But for the attender, there is no provision. So that maount they
have to arrange.

Capaigning: Thats ok. See our strength and pick up any/many subject for
campaigning.

Adopting NIMS Hospital: Now whats ADOPTING NIMS?? NIMS is the best corporate
hospital a poor patient can afford to be treated in. What we will adopt? If
this thought has crossed anyone's mind, then it is possible that s/he must have
seen something where we came to picture. So 1st let us discuss what THEY need
and then we will see what WE CAN do for those needs. NIMS is a tertiary-care
hospital with all the modalities and much better than both the government
hospitals in the city. And even if they are not the best amongst corporates,
still they are best in one parameter, that is COST. The cost of treatment is
very less if you compare with any other private hospitals here. So what we are
supposed to ADOPT there?
