Hai All I just now came from the hospital. Luckily when I went there, there is no doctor there in the ICU and so I could go inside and see Nagur. I did not understand anything, I do not those tubes, valves, saline pipes, ECG etc but I only understood that he is fine. taking his breath normally though he is under strict supervision.
After coming out, I spoke with his mother and bro. Yes, they r very genuine. Till now they never asked me money or spoke regarding money till I asked about it. Condition of the boy: Doctors found that he has some problem with kidneys , BP and aayasam. SO first they r taking care of it and then they would operate him. All this they told the mother only when she was vexed with their behaviour(treatment is good but they r not informing her any thing properly may be due to language problem and because its a govt hosp) and yesterday she told them that she would take her son home. Then they told all these problems and that they r taking care of all these. No food for nagur..only saline and some milk that too with a pipe. Always with a pipe and so he is unable to speak properly. He could not move so he is feeling very much uneasy. So teh mother is worried. Because of all these pipes fixed around him, and no food and they r cleaning his throat(or some thing else) with a pipe and after that daily he is feeling giddy. The mother and bro now knows so many things(better than me) about the cleaning processes and the different tests and pipes. Because its an ICU, I thought all r advantages for them. But one main disadv is that at least one or two kids daily come there after their condition is very serious and worse and so some times doctors could not save them. seeing this the mother is pretty worried. She says the doctors use teh same pipes and try to clean even those 2 moth old kids and some die just because of this cleaning process as the 2 moth kids cannot adjust to that. I dint understand what this cleaning process is...May be she understood it or she knows it or thats how all the parents gather there and discuss about these and come to conclusions. Anyways more than our group(rather me and sankar visiting once in three days or so and staying for a mere twenty to thirty mins) the parents there share it among themselves and they console each other and help each otehr as all of them are poor and thats why they r so kind hearted adn good at heart. I felt the warmth there speaking to other' parents too.. will write more of my experiences later. gave Rs1000 to teh mother. ArunK
