Is it possible for us to use this donation program offered by infosys? I
request some one of the group who has proximity with city schools or any
govt school in andhra pradesh to revert back to me.

The PC donation process is on again and we need some volunteers who
would like to be Brand Ambassador for schools of AP. It's a great
opportunity to do your part for your school & the society again.
Interested!!
Let's get started. Volunteers who wish to come forward and help us
identify the schools as well as do some back ground work in liasoning with
the schools and Infosys management to get these schools the PCs they need.
If any one of you find schools in your locality and is yet to receive the
letter, you can take up the philanthropic task of just delivering the
letters to the school, meet up with the Head Master/Principal and tell them
what we want from them in the form of documents if they wish to take this
opportunity. Please note that this interaction will only be an initiation
and not a commitment to deliver. We have to assess the schools first.

*Brief explanation of the process that we follow to donate computers:*

1. *We have to list out the schools that are in real need of
computers.*
2. *Send them the letters in which we introduce them about the
drive.*
3. *In the same letter we request the schools to send back some
format that has to be signed by the undersigned school. *
4. *Once we get the consent letters from the schools, they will be
sent to Bangalore for final clearances of the formalities. (No. of computers
per school, customs...etc.) *
5. *As soon as the final approval comes from all aspects, we will
initiate delivery. *

*Equipment is expected to be donated where greatest benefit to the
community can be achieved and the government schools in rural areas are the
likely recipients. As the demand for equipment is exceeds the number of
available PCs this Qtr, a waiting list of successful applicants would be
compiled and the equipment will be distributed as it becomes available. *

*What you need to do now if you have a school in mind> *
*Ans:*
*Step1. *In the excel sheet attached in the mail , fill up the school name
and details etc and keep it with you
Step2 Take a glance at the schools' infrastructure. It should at least
give you a comfort factor that this school can
maintain the computers that we will donate.
Step 3 If you feel convinced; give them the "invite letter" and the
"Annexure" attached in the mail here. Ask them to submit
this to you in 2-3 days( so plan a trip to the school on a
weekend)
Step4 Send us the excel sheet, filled up with the school details and the
signed Annexures( the details are also there in
the invite letter as to how the Annexures need to be filled in
by the schools)
