Hi All,
Suddenly the mail counts have reduced to ZERO levels. Quite surprising to
notice this change. Prasanthi, who writes atleast 3 mails a day, who replies to
almost all the mails, is also not writing. And it seems she is otherwise busy
for sometime. She was the one who initiated the process of registration and was
interested to take up the responsibility of SECRETARY despite knowing that the
position demands a lot more apart from mailing/replying/fixing meetings. When
she herself is silent or wants to remain away from the group activities for few
months, I have a genuine doubt here. Shall we go for registration? We are going
to meet up on 6th of this month at Hyderabad. We have agenda and depending on
the attendees we are going to have a discussion and may be decision on this
topic. Given the conditions, all the members should be from India as for any
change in the bye-law, we need the signature of all the members. So in this
scenario, I would like to know from members (both
from India and abroad) whether we shall go for registration or not. And
especially from local members I would like to know the individual interest for
taking up the responsibilities because unless we have 7 members interested to
take up the responsibilities, we cant go for registration. If we can discuss
about this prior to the meeting, we can decide upon something productive in the
meeting.
Another thing I would like to mention here that one regular activity for us
was exchanging mails/views/opinions. In the absence of the mails, that activity
has also come down and it gives a feeling that we are not existing. It has
become a habit to see many mails everyday and when that is missing, different
thoughts cross the mind. Probably we need someone like Prasanthi who can write
mails, reply all the general queries and also have links to all other members.
Who can take the lead when Prasanthi is absent?
Or is it that we never wanted so many mails and when there is an opportunity,
we are utilizing that to the fullest? Or may be there is no topic to discuss;
hence we are silent? I cannot understand anything. Just some thoughts came to
my mind about the slowness and I thought of seeking the opinion of all the
esteemed members.
