A mother works hard for the entire day to earn Rs10 , only to buy some rice and
feed her children. She lost one child due to tuberculosis and another child is
on the verge of death. This is not some story of a tragic movie, but a harsh
reality of every family that doesn't get the opportunities in life.
The point i'm trying to make is , we have a job to do. A tough job to do.
We need to be aggressive, be focussed, be proactive with our efforts. Be it
small or big, any kind of contribution can make a difference.
A few things we should start doing in order that we be more effective
1) We need to start measuring or quantify our activities.
2) We need to set targets for short term and long term.
3) We need to review every quarter how close are we to acheiving our targets.
PLease look out for my email , "The Numbers Game" for more information on the
above.
cheers

Yeah, the mail count all of a sudden dropped. and we never any got
any email from prasanthi that she wants to take off for some time
which is veru unusual. Prior she used to mail the group abt her
absence. As she is the main point of contact hope she told abt the
status of the Cases to somebody.
Regarding Registration part, we need to seriously think about it.
Are we really ready for it? agreed that everyone needs a break, but
if some one or other are feeling like this everytime, should we go
for registring the group. The group should have lot of planning and
vision, focus and be organized. Its just not abt roles and
responsiblities, How serious we are abt those responsibilities.
Anyways, US memebers can't be a part of registration, People in HYD
have to think abt it.
Thanks

surprising to notice this change. Prasanthi, who writes atleast 3
mails a day, who replies to almost all the mails, is also not
writing. And it seems she is otherwise busy for sometime. She was
the one who initiated the process of registration and was interested
to take up the responsibility of SECRETARY despite knowing that the
position demands a lot more apart from mailing/replying/fixing
meetings. When she herself is silent or wants to remain away from
the group activities for few months, I have a genuine doubt here.
Shall we go for registration? We are going to meet up on 6th of this
month at Hyderabad. We have agenda and depending on the attendees we
are going to have a discussion and may be decision on this topic.
Given the conditions, all the members should be from India as for
any change in the bye-law, we need the signature of all the members.
So in this scenario, I would like to know from members (both
> from India and abroad) whether we shall go for registration or
not. And especially from local members I would like to know the
individual interest for taking up the responsibilities because
unless we have 7 members interested to take up the responsibilities,
we cant go for registration. If we can discuss about this prior to
the meeting, we can decide upon something productive in the meeting.

activity for us was exchanging mails/views/opinions. In the absence
of the mails, that activity has also come down and it gives a
feeling that we are not existing. It has become a habit to see many
mails everyday and when that is missing, different thoughts cross
the mind. Probably we need someone like Prasanthi who can write
mails, reply all the general queries and also have links to all
other members. Who can take the lead when Prasanthi is absent?

opportunity, we are utilizing that to the fullest? Or may be there
is no topic to discuss; hence we are silent? I cannot understand
anything. Just some thoughts came to my mind about the slowness and
I thought of seeking the opinion of all the esteemed members.
