Friends,

We got a green signal from Vaibhav ji. He suggested
"CaptSaurabhKaliya". Then he asked that shall we keep the extension
as '.org'. I said, may be 'info' as we cannot keep 'com' for it.

But he told that there is a Web site in one more soldier's name,
Nawang.com. So it seems even we can have the extension as '.com'. Once
we finalize the name, I will go ahead and book from webcomindia.net.
It costs Rs. 349 per year.

Vaibhav ji told me that he is apprehensive about RTI as the topic is
related to Defence. I told him like as this is not a confidential
issue, probably we can. Anyway we will be talking to Nagendra garu
about the possibilities.

I spoke with Late Major Padmapani Acharya's family. Seems there are
meetings and family functions of the Air Force People 8th being the
Air Force Day. So today they are busy. Tomorrow also not sure.

I am trying to get in touch with Nagendra garu. Rakesh is also trying.
We couldn't reach him. I have sent a message to him. He stays in Erra
Manzil Colony only. As per Rakesh, Nagendra garu is usually free in
the evenings. So will give him a call after 6 pm and if he gives
appointment, will go and meet him.

We didn't get a reply from Uma Sudhir. I didn't call her too. I
thought of ringing to her once she gives a reply. Also I have lot of
work in office. So I don't think so that it would be possible for me
to meet her.

As Chaitanya is busy and no one else responded, I have to attend the
morning meeting. So for this weekend, I will contain. Nevertheless I
will be in touch through mails and will be talking to people concerned.

I think talking to Nagendra garu and getting inputs and suggestions on
filing the RTI would be the second crucial step.

Dr. N.K. Kalia and Vaibhav ji will be in touch over phone and emails
and anything that we need from them, they are ready to provide.

Friends,

I know that the task that we took up is not an easy one. Many
constraints involved. But this is the least we can do for them. As I
observed from the comments to an article on the death of two Majors
(very recently), everyone in this country respect our forces. They
equally hate and despise politicians. But no one could think that they
can do something about it. One has to take the initiative and as per
Colonel Gauri Shankar's words, we are the first civilian group
(according to him) who showed interest and concern towards our forces.
So for anyone who makes the first step, the journey is a long one. But
let me tell you, it is only for the first few steps, later on we will
be joined by all our citizens and we CAN ACHIEVE.

What?

Let the govt. file a petition in ICJ or else least help us in getting
the evidence that it is not 'Mujahideens' but Pakistan Army who did
this. Every country knows. It is an open truth. They are not Mujahideens.

That is the visible goal. Even if we cannot achieve that also we are
successful in a way if we move the Nation and let the govt. know the
aspirations of the public. We will be again bringing to the attention
of the public about the situation of PoWs. Even if we become catalysts
in getting them released from Pak jails that is a biggest achievement.

We cannot bring back the soldiers who laid down their lives, but we
can justify their sacrifices by being responsible and showing concern.
It is habitual for us like certain tasks/things are not for us.
Someone else should do it.

If we become successful in making people unite and respond and show
concern for our forces and if this news reaches them, our soldiers be
all the more happy and they will know that their sacrifices are not a
waste.

We should use the last words of Major Raghuraman should be our tag
line in this fight: Don't let any ultra escape.

Our aim should be 'Do not leave any stone unturned'. in this effort.

Two statements of Inspiration: This is from HRD Tata to Sudha Murthy,
'Never start anything with doubt. Work hard and you will definitely
taste success'. This is when he asked her about Narayana Murthy's
plans to start a venture and her reply that she is doubtful of the
success.

The second one is Capt. Lakshmi Sehgal's words as a reply to the
Press. The reporters asked her that as it is very evident that she is
not going to win, will she contest instead of backing. Here's the
fantastic reply from him. 'A soldier never withdraws from the
battlefield. A battle is to fight so I will fight and I will contest'.
This is her reply at such an old age. Thats the spirit. How modest and
confident she is. She was not at all sorry for not getting support.

Any first attempt is greeted with a ridicule. Luckily we have support
from many quarters. So as Chaitanya said, 'We Will Do It'.

Last but not the least, if not for anyone, we should do that for Capt.
Saurabh's family. They are not fighting for their son. Anyway they can
never get him back and their pain it lives with them as long as they
live. They are willing to fight for other soldiers. They do not want
one more soldier to die in such circumstances.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
