It is indeed a very good idea to bring them on one platform but I guess
there would be a problem with the same.

Here are some points:

1.If a company is actively involved in social services, it is because of 2
reasons - a) tax benefit (showing that they are involved in social causes)
and b) brand making (so and so company has contributed so much
money/food/things to so and so organization during so and so period.)

2. Companies might not agree because they place in the appraisal letters (of
the employees) that following are the rival companies and you shouldn't join
them.. will they  keep their ego aside and help us out? I doubt.

A positive note: Nevertheless, I guess companies would give a part of the
fund as donation so that we can take the ground work..

The above is just a word of caution.
