I think everybody know that 6 months back i have visited that place and told you about that. Here are the details once again Ramayampet is 75 kms from Hyderabad. There are about 40 to 50 families in Dommari gudem 5 km before the town..their profession is sex trade. 15 to 17 years aged girls over there will be put into that business.and the boys after grown up becoming trafickers innear villages. There are around 30 vulnerable boys and girls over there. Mr.Jagannath Rao of HARD NGO is working there on HIV AIDS awareness fromlast 15 years. He wants to talk to the mothers of these children and convince them to place them in residential schools, to keep them far from this influence. I even shown VAIDEHI ASHRAM to mr.Jagannatha Rao so that if they are interested they can accomodate some girls here..and of course we can support some of them What we need is financial support for this endeavour. We thoroughly discussed the issue. We wanted to have an interaction with the children as well as their parents to go forward. I conveyed this to Mr. Jagannatha rao and he will be arranging the the necessary things for visit this sunday. I request you all please confirm your attendance before Friday. Things discussed: 1. Each girl needs around 15,000 to 20,000 on an avarage for one year. 2. We cannot support any girl at this point of time as we already have enough requirements in hand. 3. We will prepare a good presentation and explain the issue in our offices. 4. Say suppose 20 people are ready to give 1000 per year.. if we can get sponsership for at least one girl from eachof our companies.... we can save more than 10 children there. 5. For that we need to establish credibility over VITHARANA..... and registration is required here. 6. Once we have good write up,presentation and a report on the subject we can even approach CSR wings of some companies like Delloitte as Ravi kiran suggested. 7. We need to involve as many as possible. Actions neded from members: 1. Spreading awareness among our friends and coleagues about VITHARANA as well as the main issue. 2. Present the report to them and see the response. 3. We need active participation in this issue from all our members. Till now we have done many things and this is entirely different and we need to work for this sometime. 4. Dont thinkn that it is compulsory.. i am just asking you to participate actively ...if not possible leave it. Post your views.
