*Attendees: *Shyam, Seshu, Srinath, Siddiraju, Gangadhar and Pavan** We discussed on Visit to Ngos, Educational and Medical Cases and action plan for the next month as follows. * * *Visit to NGOs, Bangalore:* *Matru** Blind School**, Yelahanka:* This supports Blind people for their shelter, education and vocational training. It has lot of funds but lack of volunteers so we can act as a volunteers for them to put stalls in public, collect the materials from the donor's office (Management will find donors) etc.. *Volunteer:* Shyam *Snehasadan, Arekere:* This is started 10 yrs back to support poor boys. Parents who can't provide good education, food, shelter for their children will join their boys here. It takes care of Orphanage children also. School is available from 1st-10th standard. *Volunteer:* Gangadhar (MANAM Group) *Pray Foundation, Dickenson Road:* It supports for the poor for their medical and educational needs. Pavan contacted Mr. Zafarullah regarding support for Pallavi (Kidney patient, Anantapur). They asked Pavan to provide Discharge summary, Pallavi's photo to file this case and also needs the presence of Pallavi's father (Mr. Srinivas). Whenever he comes to Bangalore, Pavan will take him to Mr. Zafarullah. Srinivas may come to Bangalore after 3 weeks. Once it is filed then only they can say how much support they can provide. *Volunteer:* Pavan *Humanitarian Trust, Kemp fort:* This also supports poor people. As the Trustee is going for meeting, Pullarao is not able to meet her so explained her over phone about Pallavi's case. She asked him to call after Monday. He will update us soon. *Volunteer:* Pullarao *Al Hakeem Foundation:* This supports for Karnataka students who are willing to pursue Degree courses (UG/PG). Applications should be filled by the candidate through online only. Last date of submission is May 31st of every year. *Volunteer:* Pavan *RK Foundation:* This supports for Karnataka people only for their Education and Medical needs. Needy persons have to send their details and need for financial support through post. They will get back to the person within 20 days. Corporates are funding to this org. as part of CSR activities. *Volunteer:* Pavan *Nudan** Rehabilitation Center**:* This will gives counseling for drunkards at free of cost. This course will be 3 weeks. The drunkard person can stay there also. *Volunteer:* Pavan *Sankalp Foundation:* If we call 1064 and inform the requirements of Blood group, they will inform us in which Blood bank it is available. It has branches in Chennai and Bangalore only. We are also going to give our details to them so that they can inform us whenever they need help. *Volunteer:* Jithendra *TTD Vidyadhana Pathakam, Tirupati:* TTD providing scholarships Rs. 300 per month up to PG to the students who got above 500 marks in 10th class but they have to study in TTD institutions only. *Volunteer: *Rajasekhar, Tirupati (Pavan's friend) *Medical Cases:* *Srinivasan, Tirupati:* This case is forwarded by RIIMRS, Palamaneru. Srinivasan, 40 yrs old suffering from Heart problem. They consulted SVIMS, Tirupati 4 months back. Doctor is ready to do operation under *AarogyaSree scheme* but the heart is so week to do the operation. Srinivasan advised medication for 3 months. Pavan supported for that. After 3 months, Dr suggested him to consult Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore. NH doctors advised him to take medicines for long run which costs Rs.1000 per month. He has to visit NH after 3 months. He needs support for medicine. *Volunteers:* Jithendra/Pavan *Pallavi, Anantapur:* Pavan asked Pray foundation for help. They may help her once we submit the desired documents. Pavan talked to Mr. VT Naik, Sales Manager of Novartis Bangalore regarding concession for Cyclosporine. He is ready to give 5% concession. Pallavi has Rs.10k in her account which is at St John's Hospital funded by Tata Trust. Hospital management didn't allow her to take the money to buy medicine from Novartis so she paid Rs.7500 to buy Cyclosporine at St JH instead of Rs.6k at Novartis Company. *Volunteer:* Pavan *Venakata Ramana, Anantapur:* Ramana got operated on last Thursday at Narayana Medical College, Nellore for his Tongue cancer. Hemanth and his friends donated 4 units of blood towards his operation. Doctors said that he won't get voice after operation. He is doing well now and able to talk little bit (not fluently) so this is a good sign. *Volunteers:* Hemanth, Chaitanya *Murugesh, Krishnagiri:* As per Dr. Rajesh, Narayana Nethralaya, Murugesh is doing well and will go for cataract operation after some time. Pavan transferred Rs.6k to Dr. Rajesh towards Murugesh's medication. Pavan will send the bills to group soon. *Volunteer:* Pavan *Education Cases:* *Pradeep Kumar, White field, Bangalore:* This case is forwarded by Enable India (EI) NGO which provides training and placement for disabled persons. EI is trying to find a job to Pradeep's father Govind as he is a blind person. We paid Rs. 6k to Pradeep towards his 7th standard school fee. *Volunteer:* Anil BVN *Chandra Priya, Tirupati: *Priya is Srinivasan's daughter to whom we supported for his Heart problem. She got only 60% marks in 10th class because of her father's health problem but she got 90% in 9th class. She requested us to give one chance to prove her. So, we paid Rs.7500 towards Intermediate tuition fee at Chaitanya College. She got 50% concession from Chaitanya. *Volunteer:* Pavan *Basha, Anantapur:* This case is forwarded by Hanumanthu, friend of HAL Krishnaiah. He got 528 in 10th Standard. His father is working as a coolie. He needs financial support for his Intermediate education. AP Govt is supporting merit students through "Aanimuthyalu" and "IIIT course". *Aanimuthyalu:* Govt pays fees to join merit students in any corporate college. Only poor students are eligible. *IIIT Course:* Only the poor who studied in Govt schools are eligible for this course. This course contains Intermediate followed by BTech 4 yr course. Basha will appear for interview on 14th of this month to join this course. Hanumanthu informed about these 2 schemes. In addition to the above, we asked him to take the help from Zakath Foundation which helps for Muslim students. As Nawaz met with accident and got minor injuries, Hanu is not able to take Basha to ZF's office. If the above options won't wok, we have to support him to join @ Vivekananda College. Tuition fee is Rs. 10k and Hostel fee is Rs. 7k. As Basha studied in Govt School so far, we may take the help of *North South Foundation.* *Volunteer:* Shyam *Suma, Bangalore:* This case is forwarded by Hanumanthu. Suma got 85% in Inter and 10000 rank in CET. She can join in either Medical or Engineering. She would like to join in Engineering. She has to attend for counseling on 24th of this month. As she has SC reservation, she doesn't need to pay registration fee. She has to pay within 2 days after counseling. Fee will be based on college. Once she attends to counseling then only we can get full details. She already applied for Al-Hakeem foundation and RK foundation also. Anil went to her home and checked their family status. We can help her. Hope govt will support for her education. *Volunteer:* Anil BVN *Teaching at Govt School, Vivek Nagar:* We are going to teach Basic Maths and English to the students of 8th – 10th standard on every Saturday coming from this week. In addition to this, we are planning to conduct one event like Essay writing, Elocution, Painting etc. per month to improve their Personal skills. *Volunteers:* Seshu, Anil A, Gopi, Keerthi, Srinath *Action Plan: * *Creating NGO Database:* Pavan will send the details of all the NGOs which Bangalore Team visited so far. *Volunteer: *Pullarao *Update on NGOs visit:* One of the member from each team needs to send the update to Pavan by Tuesday on the last week visit ie., either SAT or SUN or both, to the NGO they made. Pavan in turn will consolidate and send mail to the group on Wednesday. *Volunteers: *Team Leaders (Shobha, Anil BVN, Pavan K, Pullarao, Gopinath, Gangadhar, Shyam) * Teaching at Vivek Nagar School:* Seshu and team will prepare the course content for teaching English & Maths at by June 23rd. *Volunteers: *Anil A*, *Seshu, Gopi, Keerthi and Srinath *Membership Fee:* Every member has to contribute monthly fee to the group ie., 100 if in case the member fails a mail will be sent by Pavan on 16th day of the month to the members as a reminder. The members can also contribute to the group in Quarterly, Half yearly or Full year contributions. *Brochure:* We decided to prepare Brochure for TMAD so that people visiting the NGO or other places it will be useful for them to explain about activities and let others know about TMAD. *Volunteers: *Vani (from Hyd Team), Pavan (will coordinate with Vani to inform her about Bangalore activities) *Visiting Cards:* We decided to print visiting cards which have TMAD logo, Registration number and the website address. This will be given to the members and they in turn can distribute to the places they visit. This is having top priority as members will are visiting NGO in these months. *Volunteers: *Kasyap (Hyd Team), Shyam (Blr Team) *Media Coordinator:* For the cases that we get through media we need a member to follow up with media to get the details of the case and update the useful information to the group *Volunteer: *Jithendra (Blr Team), Kasyap (Hyd Team) Jithendra will update the information about the schemes offered by Govt of Karnataka to the poor for Education and Medical help by next monthly meeting. *Website Coordinator:* To maintain the web site up to date *Volunteer: *Pullarao/Jithendra (Blr Team), Anil Madugula (Hyd Team) Chaitanya will ask Hyd Team to find the details of schemes offered by Govt of AP like *Aanimuthyalu* and *IIIT Foundation schemes* details. *Next Monthly Meeting:* As rainy season starts, it will be held at Kormangala Park @ 11 AM on July 6th (Sunday).
