Hi,
First a word about Google Apps. Google has closed 'Google Pages', but at the
same time opened an improved version of it called 'Google Sites'
(http://sites.google.com), but we cannot still consider this as a Web Hosting
platform. It is a very basic. It only provides an easy platform to put together
few HTML files with lot of ease in configuration.
BlueHost offers a 30 day money back guarantee and prorated refunds after 30
days, no cancellation fees. We can cancel anytime for any reason if we are not
satisfied.
With any hosting company, we always have the option of moving to another host
in case we are not satisfied. That flexibility is always there. But I am not
sure whether all hosting companies give prorated refunds or not.

Actually, if our website requires 24x7 availabilty and highly critical, I would
have recommended other WebHosting companies with Tier 4 Data Centers or with
dedicated servers (one server dedicated for one website) - but for our
requirement, I felt BlueHost will be a good choice per my experience and it is
just a suggestion only. There are other popular(varies per
individual) WebHosting companies also as given below, which you may want to
consider (I have no personal experience with any of these).
1. 1&1 (www.1and1.com)
2. Globat
3. DreamHost
4. Go Daddy
5. Yahoo
6. AN Hosting Inc
7. HostGator
8. And there may be some in India as well (I personally do not prefer to host
my websites on servers in India)
There are so many other hosting companies. http://www.webhostingjury.com/ has a
good list of them.
I hope this helps. If I can be of any help with this, please let me know.
Best Regards,
Pradeep

Hi All,

Google is no more accepting new google pages hosting.
However, 100MB will not be enough when we host photos, audio and videos.

Better, we'll go for another service provider.
I tried reading reviews for bluehost and found mixed responses.
Please visit http://www.clickfir e.com/bluehost- review/

However, as said in above website, there might be people who had bad experience
and people who might had no problems at all.

Pradeep,

Do we option of transferring to another hosting server from BlueHost, if
required?
If answer is yes, may be we can go for BlueHost.

Regards,
Santhosh

Hello Friends,

Pradeep's suggestion seems good to me as he made it out of experience.

Pradeep,

Do you have any comments on 100 MB Space offered by Google?

Let us close this asap. Monday - 18th of August would be the deadline.
By that time if we do not get any response or any other
recommendations, we can go ahead with bluehost.com. What say?

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
