Mouth watering local cuisines include a plethora of cucumber-based curries (veg & non-veg), Jowar roti, polelu (stuffed sweet chapathi) and rice, followed by the sweet dish taadkala pasham. The smorgasbord of Pochamapally is not complete without Neera fresh palm sap. The Indian Rural Tourism Initiative has worked for the past year with the villagers of Pochampally to make this a showcase of tourism of which only a few places in rural India share in this honor.
