Friends,

We created a google group, Gandhi n Development, to discuss our
activities related to Gandhiji.

http://groups.google.co.in/group/gandhi-n-development

This is not very active as of now as we are discussing through gmail
only.

1. Reviving Bapu Ghat
2. Making it a center for all Gandhi Ashrams in AP and also
collaborate with Ashrams in India and Abroad.
3. Publicize about Gandhi Ashrams in AP and see to that they get good
support.
4. Discuss about Gandhiji's ideology and its relevance in 21st
Century.

We will make the group active after a meet on 2nd of November. Venue
is VMRG Media House and timings are 10 am to 12 noon. Yesterday there
was a meeting on the same topic and MOM will be shared soon. (You can
see these mails till second week of November. After that we will not
post any update here).

For your information, there is Gautami Satyagraha Asramam in
Seetanagaram, a place at a distance of 50 km from Rajahmundry. This is
a must visit place. It is so serene and one does not feel like coming
back. Gandhi and Ba visited that Ashram 3 times and the hut is still
there. Gandhiji planted a tree here. (will post more details about
this Ashram soon). There are many photographs of the visits by
National Leaders to this place. Charkha used by Gandhiji is well
maintained. Whether you like Gandhiji or not, if possible, please
visit the Ashram once. You will cherish the experience. Ratan ji,
Satyakrishna and I visited this place and we all felt very happy
about it. Unfortunately we couldn't take photos. Their immediate need
is Computers. Also blankets for the inmates (minimum 30).

Will post more details soon.

Irrespective of groups, Gandhiji thoughts will be taken forward and
there is a serious effort going on. Main/Active volunteers for this
endeavour are Suresh Adina and Sriram Rahi. Motivation and guidance
is from Dr. Bawa, Sri Purnachandar Rao and Sri Prasad. Dr. Giri,
Sivanand and I from our group, Manavata group volunteers, Amarnath
and Fayaz are also very interested. Rajesh of Simplethots also might
show interest as he visited Wardha Ashram.

Please pass on the message about the efforts in this regard to your
friends who would be interested in Gandhiji's principles and ideology.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
