Hi all, we know that curfew has been there at Paathabasthi area in Hyderabad
for the past 2 days after riots kill 5 and injured 25!.
Kudos to our Bhargav who took the initiative to donate food
to the poor people in those riot-hit areas.
Yesterday evening along with Bhargav, Likitha(new TMAD member), Pavan(BOSF
member), Srikanth(AMMA group member) and me went to curfew areas.
Big thanks to Ms.Prashanti who gave Rs.5000 to buy food items, but we could
spent Rs.1000 only, as we had less time. We bought milk, biscuits, bun and
butter milk.
Bhargav took the police permission. Actually police gave permission for
2 members only but we 4 members went . We could see all empty roads with
stones. We saw all media people around Charminar. They didn't get permission
to go inside areas it seems! We asked them about slum areas. They suggested us
Bhavani nagar area. We went to Bhavani nagar.Local people there cooperated a
lot. They appreciated our work and gave good support. We distributed all food
items we bought to the poor people.
Finally we left with butter milk packets. We were going back, on the way
Bhargav got great idea ("oka idea mee jeevithaanney maarcheysthundhi") and
said " why don't we give the butter milk packets in Bhavani nagar Police
station". Pavan also appreciated the idea and we both get down at Police
station. Pavan went inside and gave them to the police. While we are leaving
from there one constable called we both and took a big class for both of us .
"Why you came here? What do you do? Do you have brains? Do you have any
security? Do you know it is the most sensitive area? How dare to you people to
go inside Bhavani nagar with out any security?.... bla bla bla..Pavan has
"kumkuma" on his fore head thats the reason for constable class.(Of course
constable also correct from security point of view)Almost for 15 minutes he
took the class. Finally we said thanks to him and
escape from
there. After his lecture only we realized that we went to the most dangerous
area and return safely.
But finally we all are well satisfied, as we helped the really needy
people.Thanks to Likitha, Pavan, SriKanth, Bhargav and Prashanti for your great
job.
At the end of the day we went to Prashanti house, there her mother gave us
strong coffee and hot milk for me. Below is the link for the pictures taken
