The program provides organizations in the social and development sector with valuable insights from MBAs while helping them to be civic leaders. Please find attached a brief about the selection process, the various takeaways and other details of the program. If you have any queries, please write to Sourav Sekhar ([email protected]) or Veena Kondaveeti ([email protected]). Please send the filled engagement charters(attached alongwith) to the above mail Ids or you can register yourself at http://www.isb.edu/SeminarsConference/GlobalBoardFellowsProgramme/SeminarRegistration.aspx . The last date to recieve applications would be 8th Aug 2010. Highlights of the Board Fellows program: About Board Fellows: The board fellows program places the current ISB students on the management boards of Non Profit organizations for 3 to 4 (can be extended) month engagements. Fellows attend the board sessions and relevant committee meeting while completing a strategic project for the organization under the mentorship of the executive director or a current board member. Board fellows help board to refine and develop the project scope, target key deliverables, conduct necessary analyses and prepare recommendations for review. Benefits to Organizations The Board Fellows programs provide a way for resource-constrained organizations to access valuable business skills and fresh insights. While the program does require a significant investment by the organization, the high number of those who repeat the program suggests participating organizations are pleased with the return on their investment. Some of the benefits for organizations include the following: • gaining access to talented business leaders with fresh and innovative ideas and providing new perspective and input to board decisions • developing a relationship with potential candidates for future board and staff positions • participating in development of future community leaders • networking with other not-for-profits through the MBA school • strengthening relationships with the MBA school and perhaps utilizing its other not-for-profit services • obtaining access to students’ knowledge and skills in a project that benefits the organization -- Regards, Sourav Sekhar Board Fellows Coordinator, Net Impact Club Indian School of Business, CO2011 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "birdsofsamefeathers" group.
