Originally, it was my understanding that PFD3 (of both specs) was going to
be published to the world (the way that PFD2 was), rather than just to the
JSR_053 expert group that is responsible for the contents. That turns out
not to be the case -- the PFD3 versions are essentially what has been
submitted to the JCP Executive Committee for a vote, and will become the
final versions real soon now.
In terms of changes from PFD2, there were *very* few -- mostly corner
cases where the behavior was not completely documented in PFD2. There
were zero changes in the servlet and JSP APIs, and likewise no change in
the deployment descriptors (and I would not expect to see any further
changes like that, either).
