Please don't use Apache 2.0.16. Use the latest version from CVS. Also, I'm not sure where automake is coming from - we don't use that. Perhaps, you mean autoconf? We also revamped the build system well after the 2.0.16 timeframe. Hopefully, things might be smoother with the latest version. -- justin
