It sounds like you have a .so for a different version
of apache.

Run this command on the mod_jk source as specified in
the mod_jk howto:

apxs -o mod_jk.so -I../jk -I/usr/local/jdk/include
-I/usr/local/jdk/include/linux -c *.c ../jk/*.c
