.. . . they change (classes within %CATALINA_HOME%\shared\classes) without downing Tomcat. Here's my specific proplem: I have a dozen contexts that all share "common" classes from from %CATALINA_HOME%\shared\classes. One of the contexts, "db", takes about 5 minutes to "init" (creates conections and does a lot of "first time" type setup) so I don't want to down the servlet/context "db" if it's at all possible to avoid it. Back to my question. Is it possible to reload the classes from %CATALINA_HOME\shared\classes that have been changed since Tomcat was started without taking Tomcat down?
