But i fu have rpms then it is very easy to upgrade, uninstall etc rite.Also when i get the rpm i can get the scripts to start and stop tomcat under /etc/rc.d/init.d/tomcat4. which is i feel is better than going to /var/tomcat4/bin/startup.sh and start it or restart it
