A little bit later... I guess the answer is 'no' to documentation. In that case, is there anyone out there who knows? The Tomcat docs on SSL are great for setting up without client-auth; works great. But when I point my client (browser or HttpsURLConnection) at the CLIENT-CERT protected site, the best I can manage is a 401. What's the secret?
