If you REALLY have to use the below - no problem, I
would strongly suggest splitting up the web/db servers
onto 2 physically separate servers.
If you don't HAVE to, I would recommend:
1. Use FreeBSD, not linux.
2. Use mSQL or mySQL, there's less processing
overhead.
3. Tomcat 3.2.1 has performance improvements over
3.1. (3.3 is cleaner still, but I'm guesing you won't want
to use a milestone build)
