I still don't know why it wasn't there, but I've added it back. Both source and binary downloads are now available via the main site (which they have been for a while) as well as mirrors accessed via the above URL. Note that the nightly builds have been available as well at the usual URL, http://cvs.apache.org/builds/jakarta-commons/nightly/commons-daemon/ Right now there are only .tar.gz distro for daemon. Thanks for pointing out that their links were missing from the mirrors.
