i think that you problem is very simple :
in your wrapper.properties
search for this :
wrapper.tomcat_home=<E:\tomcat>
wrapper.java_home=<E:\jre1_2\jre>
loose the "<" and ">"
wrapper.tomcat_home=E:\tomcat
wrapper.java_home=E:\jre1_2\jre
maby this is your problem

what i've done is :
1. open a dos window
2. jk_nt_service -i service_name wrapper.properties (after modified it)
3. net start service_name
I am working on win 2k professional
I read lot of mailing list and lot of peoples answered that it's a 1.3 jdk
bug.
I tried with 1.2 and it's the same!!
I CANT START THE SERVICE !!
Can anyone help please..
