Hi,
if you look in workers.properties, you'll see a set of lines that look like
this:
worker.ajp12.port=8007
worker.ajp12.host=localhost
worker.ajp12.type=ajp12
if you change the value for localhost to the hostname of choice you can have it
forward to another machine where tomcat
is running.
As far as loadbalancing goes....
I guess you can configure many of these workers as long as the name differs i.e
(worker.<name>.port etc.) (as well as the hostname) you could expect Apache to
route
the AJP12/13 traffic to the various AJP12/13 type workers and base the choice on
this using the load balancing values associated with the
named workers.
Haven't tried that myself - I was just glad to get Apache (on my NT box) to
[auto]forward all of my jsp/servlet stuff to my solaris box.
Worked a treat as a well ;-)
