It's a linux box. It's working on my win2k, on another linux box, but not on the one I'm deploying now. Have no access to it, just want to know some general possibilities and try them out for now.

In XP the problem has gonne away and I could install the application even from any other folder. If you don't have to the production environment you have to have a test or development environment to replicate the production situation. Otherwise, its time consuming and hard to debug the errors.
