hmm seems like you are using Tomcat 5.5.x for Java 1.5 with jdk1.4.2 Not sure if it will work.

Thanks for the info. Can you expand on what you mean by "right user prefer".
I'm running tomcat as a user, and running the startup and shutdown scripts
as that user.

I am using under Suse 9.2 E server, no problems. Make sure you are the right user prefer tomcat when executing the script.
