I have that file already. I have pinged tomcat online and offline and they both work. I am new enough to tomcat that I don't know if this is a problem or not. I just thought it was strange that the demonstration programs had a problem.

Do you have a 'hosts' file? It should be located in $WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc If you don't have one, create it and put in a line like: 127.0.0.1 localhost Note, you can also use this file for dev purposes. For example, say you are working on 127.0.0.1 tomcat.apache.org best, -Rob Walter Lee wrote: > Thanks for responding.
