Another possible problem, look at the links: > To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (etc.)
Notice the "mailto:"; in there. Sometimes Microsoft's Outlook Express tries to copy the mailto: portion into the address, sometimes it doesn't. The mail server for subscription handling does not know to strip the "mailto:";, and so rejects the address. If this happens, you may even bounce when you try to contact the list owner. User end solution: Type the address in by hand, or (very carefully) select the part after the "mailto:"; and copy/paste the address. The mail list administrator end might be able to do something about this, might not: (1) Quit putting the "mailto:"; in the links. (And what other problems would start occurring?) Or, (2) Have the mail server for subscription handling check specifically for the "mailto:"; and strip it. (And watch out for the side effects.) (Posting -- again -- to the list so it will be available should anyone with this problem check the archives.)
