Hi Umberto, if you run Tomcat as a service, try using the freely downloadable PSTools from http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/pstools.shtml which contain the commandline utility psservice which lets you remotely control NT-Services. You might also be able to run the startup and shutdown Batch files remotely with the psexec utitlity (also included in the PSTools download)
