I highly doubt it. Maybe something on the order of a few milliseconds, but certainly nothing I would worry about.
Its been awhile since I looked at the mod_jk source, but my guess is it only reads workers.properties once, at startup, and if that's the case, there would be no difference in performance whatsoever.

In workers.properties, change worker.ajp13.host to the IP address of the server where Tomcat is installed.
