I emailed yesterday about a database connection pool being recreated on every lookup in the context, but after upgrading from tomcat 4.0.1 to tomcat 4.1.23 the problem disappeared. Apparently this is a bug in tomcat 4.0.1.
So I you are developing in tomcat 4.0.1 and using connection pools beware ;-)
