I've been setting up tomsrtbt to allow network image backup of OS/2 and NT
by just booting and dd'ing /dev/hda, etc over net to tape. But I found
that rshd doesn't start up although it should run after uncommenting the
line in inittab. I suspect it is because /usr isn't mounted at time
inittab is read. Is there a place to put " kill -HUP 1 " so it will?
Thanks very much for your hard work on Tom's rt bt disk!

PS: Tom, I had written last week about custom floppies don't boot at
INIT: stage of booting. Well I think it was because I changed 15sec
to 5 sec and didn't know buildit.s rewrote it and <<X problem too. I've
not had trouble since I matched 5sec in buildit.s also.
With regard to not being able to unpack/buildit/install 1.7.118 with
absolutely no changes I also have the same problem. I tried this on 4 or
5 different computers and there is never enough room to hold everything.
In addition the sector shortage is different in every case. I saw -1, -3,
and -15 sectors as I remember. I had the funny feeling it got worse the
bigger the ext2 partition was. Maybe minix would not have a shortage?
Do use minix on hard disk? (It's not a real problem since I can find
unneeded files to delete; but is unexpected and may need a comment in
the FAQ.)
Thought this might be useful.
