|I would have to say that
|
| "started bothering about"
|
|sounds _almost_ like
|
| "generated error messages referring to"
|
|but in that case you surely would have included more specifics such as the
|text of the error messages or maybe even a vague recollection of what they
|may have referred to... can you, perhaps, recreate it and give more
|detail?
sorry, you can perhaps imagine the situation:
my friend called me just after his development workstation
broke, and it's his first time with a unix shell ;-)
at the moment he is just happy to have been able to
save the most important data; sure, if we can reproduce it we will try
to grab the errorlog.
i just wondered if this might be a very typical problem with ntfs; i
don't have the docu for the ntfs module here ( _very_ old kernel..)
|
|Well, I can tell you 2 things.
|
|1) I don't have (and _never_ have had) access to a Windows-NT machine.
well, i've more nt-machines in the 'varsity than a nightmare;
but they break so often that i always avoid to touch them...
'cause i knew about the beta-stage of the driver i was afraid to try
out rtbt on those machines.
|
|2) One is going to appear on my desk within the next week or two.
|
|So, NT support will be improving dramatically. Soon. If only because I
|will be stuck with it...
sure, be prepared for the worst, because it *is* the worst ;-)
like to tell us what you need it for ?
Gruss / with best regards
