Short answer: Get a Linux distribution more appropriate for web browsing.

If you _must_ use floppies to boot, try MuLinux, XDenu, LRP, or Trinux.

If you can boot from a DOS hard drive, get DOSLinux or similar.

If you can re-partition a hard drive, get DebIan or SlackWare.

Tomsrtbt _does_ support modem internet connections with "miterm" and SLIP
using "slattach". It also can 'browse' web pages using "snarf". However,
this misuse is not supported or documented...

Tomsrtbt is for system administration, backup, emergency recovery, rescue,
restore, tools when you can't get a hard drive- but it isn't intended as a
general purpose Linux distribution.
