It _may_ be possible to rework tomsrtbt onto 1.44 and then possibly rework it to boot halfway from the /dev/fd0H1440 (while the bios has control) and /dev/hda (once the kernel gets control). That is _not_ something I recommend you mess with. My best advice, either: 1) Buy or acquire a 1.44MB real honest floppy drive. or 2) Use a bootable CDROM and forget booting from floppy. -Tom
