I am able to boot up my system given the tomsrtbt boot image. It goes like a
breeze, no hassles!
What i further need to do is to start my application which essentially is an
RPC server. I tried to accomplish this but wasn't quite successful. This is
what I had done.
I had the files /etc/hosts, /etc/hosts.allow, /etc/rpc in my filesystem. I
tried running portmap, did not get any errors. Doing a 'rpcinfo -p' shows
that port 111 is being used. I try runnning my server, (of which i only have
an executable) and it gives RPC Error(not quite intuitive).
At this point my loopback interface is configured, though my ethernet
interface isn't up.
Can anyone point out, where am i messing it up? I have to admit that I don't
have a very lucid understanding of what all is required to get my RPC
running, so all suggestions would be very helpful.
Thanks
Suchit
